You've probably come across some work out apps if you own a smartphone. And whether or not you're already using it, you might just rely on your smartphone to be your workout buddy in the future. It will be able to track your progress on a mobile app, to remind you on eating right, sleeping well and pushing a harder workout.
At current, the availability of health apps is climbing fast, and the industry can expect the number of health and fitness apps to quadruple between 2010 to 2016.
More than 40,000 health apps exist and are expected to bring in $1.3 billion in 2012, according to a Research2Guidance report.
