Reuters is reporting that Foxconn workers are getting a pay bump to 1,800 yuan per month and it could further raise above 2,200 yuan a month if the worker passed a technical examination. 25% increase in pay! The pay three years ago was 900 yuan a month.
Sounds great except 1,800 yuan is about $285, meaning around $10 a day, or less than a dollar per hour.
