China's CCTV Tried To Use Top Gun As Air Force Footage?

Talk about saving cost and getting the job done without having to do any of those things you see above! China Central Television showed footage of what they say is an air force training exercise conducted on January 23rd.
But really, those were clips from Top Gun!They supposedly showed a J-10 fighter firing a missile at another aircraft during a practice exercise.
An internet commenter quickly pointed out that the aircraft the J-10 was shown shooting down was an F-5, an American aircraft, and the very one Tom Cruise guns down in a scene from Top Gun. Compare and contrast scenes from Top Gun and the ones shown by CCTV, they look pretty similar!
