This 69 year old French woman got trapped in her bathroom after the door locks failed on her. It locked her in. She was rescued three weeks after when neighbours couldn't stand the sound of her banging the pipes. She was calling for help.
The neigbours were so irritated that they launched a petition to get the mysterious pipe tapper to cease making the noise. A worried neighbour alerted rescue workers when they realized the woman hadn't been seen in weeks.
She survived thanks to her diet of drinking warm water from the tap. [USA Today]
