Sony's posted a full-year loss for the first time in 14 years—98.9 billion yen ($1 billion)—fulfilling doomy prophecies—which was better than expected. Sony thinks next year will be worse.
What a very unhappy birthday week. Its original charter, with the credo,"we must avoid problems which befall large corporations," and the drive to "create and introduce technologies which large corporations cannot match" is exactly what Sony needs to follow now.
