Mitsubishi i-MiEV Named World Green Car of the Year Finalist

The all-electric, zero-emissions Mitsubishi i-MiEV became one of the top three finalists for the World Green Car of the Year award today, chosen from a list of five first-round contenders.
The original green auto roll consisted of more than 20 aspirants, entering the contest based on criteria such as tailpipe emissions, fuel consumption, advance drivetrain innovation, and market availability in 2008. The i-MiEV faces formidable competitors including Honda FCX Clarity and Toyota iQ. The winner will be named by the international panel of 59 automotive journalists and crowned on April 9, 2009 at the New York International Auto Show.
