This 120-Pound Concrete Light Fixture Is The Opposite Of Ikea's Design

Designed by Seth Ellsowrth, this light bar is the exact opposite of the fluorescent, disposable design you pick up at Ikea. Its name is "my light is heavier than your light," and the fixture is available in either a smooth or rough finish, and it comes outfitted with specialty light bulbs.
The designer warns: "This item must be installed by a professional."
The light bar comes in three different lengths and weighs between 60 and 120 pounds depending on which one you buy. The four-foot, five-bulb fixture costs $800, the six-foot, seven-bulb bar costs $1050. [lhooq via TreeHugger]
