Hive has got a set of transforming snow shoes that you can strap to your feet to either climb a mountain or start skiing when you have to.
The Hives spread your weight across a larger surface so the risk of you disappearing into a deep snow drift are lessened. There's a set of spikes on the underside coupled with a fangled metal crampon to provide traction you need for deep powder snow or slick ice.
The bindings can be locked down which retracts the toe crampon and the spikes are attached to a plate which folds up to create a smooth planing surface to allow skiing possible.
