Microdermabrasion refers to skin sanding with either ultra-fine
crystals of aluminum-oxide, abrasive agents such as diamond dusts or
silicone granules. This method has very light effect on acne scars as
it makes the skin smooth enough to enhance the growth of skin. The
results for this method remain for 4-6 weeks after which it should be
repeated. Do not try it yourself.
Dermabrasion is a method where top layers of the skin is removed with
the use of high speed rotating wire brush or in some cases diamond
coated wheels. Due to action of above, small part of the skin surface
wears down. The healing takes place within 2-3 weeks where new smooth
skin is formed. This method is carried out by experts.
Laser resurfacing is a method of acne scar or wrinkle removal where
high energy light is used to burn down the damaged top layer of the
skin. This also tightens the middle layer of skin thus making the skin
smooth and scar free. The skin takes 4-10 days to heal completely. This
method comes with a good price though.

To tighten the pores of the skin, use an ice cube. Rub it on face for 10 - 15 minutes.
