Volkswagen Will Be Building Porsches This Fall (Report)

Volkswagen has a long way to go before it can close the deal to take over Porsche, but they will begin building them this fall. Primary Boxster production will commence this summer at Porsche's factory in Zuffenhausen, where the 911 is also built.
Overflow production will be handled by VW at its Osnabrück plant. The plant handles the assembly for the VW Golf Cabriolet and overflow Porsche Cayman production.
VW built a real-life version of its PS3 Gran Turismo 6 entry, the GTI Roadster. And man, it's beautiful! Originally displayed at this year's Worthersee meeting, VW brought the concept for the first time to North America at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Read more
