Volkswagen Will Be Building Porsches This Fall (Report)

Volkswagen has a long way to go before it can close the deal to take over Porsche, but they will begin building them this fall. Primary Boxster production will commence this summer at Porsche's factory in Zuffenhausen, where the 911 is also built.
Overflow production will be handled by VW at its Osnabrück plant. The plant handles the assembly for the VW Golf Cabriolet and overflow Porsche Cayman production.
Brabus tuned a powerful Mercedes-Benz S65 dubbed the Rocket 900, fitting it with a 6.3 liter displacement 12-cylinder engine, enhanced fitted turbochargers and a new exhaust system to create 900hp and 1,500 Nm of torque. Read more
Volkswagen's latest Sport rendition to the Coupé Concept GTE will boast an advanced plug-in hybrid system connecting a 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 engine with a pair of electric motors and a six-speed dual clutch transmission. It will produce a combined output of 374hp and 369 pound-feet of torque and has a top speed of 155mph. Read more
Koenigsegg unveils another addition to its range with the Regera. It is the company's first hybrid hypercar featuring the same 5.0 liter twin-turbo V8 as the Agera but with smaller turbos. It generates 1,100hp while an additional three electric motors pumps out another 700hp. The combined effort boasts over 1,500 hp and will hit the 400km/h mark in under 20 seconds. Read more
