Although the three-door hatchback's looks are similar to its original Up! Concept displayed at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, there's a whole new story going on under the hood. Volkswagen has ditched its unique rear-engine, rear-wheel drive layout for a traditional front-engine, front-wheel drive setup.
Volkswagen will offer the Lupo's spiritual successor at launch with a choice of small displacement, three-cylinder gasoline engines with plans to add a pure-electric version into the mix at a later date.

The Tesla Model S gts an "electrified zebra paint", called LumiLor Electroluminescent Coating System. It is actually not for automotive use, but the coating “effectively transforms any surface coated into a lamp. And when the power is turned off, surfaces coated with LumiLor return to their normal appearance. It can even go over curves and around corners.” Read more
