The production of Volkswagen's all-new Up! city car is scheduled to have its official world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and we can't wait to see this production version of the Up!
Although the three-door hatchback's looks are similar to its original Up! Concept displayed at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, there's a whole new story going on under the hood. Volkswagen has ditched its unique rear-engine, rear-wheel drive layout for a traditional front-engine, front-wheel drive setup.
Volkswagen will offer the Lupo's spiritual successor at launch with a choice of small displacement, three-cylinder gasoline engines with plans to add a pure-electric version into the mix at a later date.
Made by Chinese startup Youxia Motors, this is their version of an all-electeric car, dubbed the Youxia X.
