The new BMW i8 coupe is impressive. It boasts a combined fuel economy of 2.1;/100km and its hefty price tag isn't deterring anyone from placing orders. The demand is so huge, that it continues to be very strong.
"The start of series production of customer vehicles will commence in April," said BMW in a statement. "Customers have already been able to place pre-orders for the BMW i8 in all major markets since autumn 2013. However, demand for the BMW i8 is already exceeding the planned production volume during ramp-up."
