According to a study released by Futuresource Consulting, 15 million 3DTVs will be in homes in the U.S. by end of 2012. That's a huge number comparing to the 4 million that were sold worldwide last year alone and 8 million will be sold around the world in 2011.
3DTV adoption rate hasn't been as phenomenal as their silver screen counterparts where millions have flocked to cinemas to see 3D flicks these days. But this study itself, could indicate a slow but growing acceptance in the market.
