Thanks to modern dental hygiene technology, now we have to worry about reports on how brushing your teeth with a certain electronic toothbrush comes with the added risk of seriously disfiguring yourself. The FDA has just issued a warning about the Spinbrush toothbrush, which apparently have left many user with horrendous mouth and even facial injuries!
According to MSNBC, the injuries stem from parts of the battery-operated brushes which have broken off and been, "released into the mouth with great speed, causing broken teeth and presenting a choking hazard." The adult brushes have a removable head that has popped off, "exposing metal pieces that have poked users in the cheek and eye areas, causing injuries." Worse of all, the kids models have caused problems like "cut lips, burns from the batteries, and bristles which have fallen off and lodged in a child's tonsils."
So yeah, stick to traditional toothbrushes people. Or maybe we should just forgo brushing our teeth all together!
