Berlin-based designers Ying Zhang and Ida Thonsgaard created a system called Playtime, which is a collection of chairs and tables made out of thin layers of tessellated wooden triangles, backed by a textile laminate. When these pieces are unfolded, they're flat like rugs. But when you snap together the embedded system of magnets and clips, each piece transforms into a 3D side table or stool. The surfaces are covered in patterns inspired by Japanese origami and Nordic textiles.

It looks like Apple is getting a proper gamepad for the iOS this year, and here's one of them made by Logitech. The controller is large enough to fit an iPhone 5. When iOS 7 introduces third party controller support in fall we'll probably see a slew of things, including this. Steve Jobs probably would not have approved of it.
