Berlin-based designers Ying Zhang and Ida Thonsgaard created a system called Playtime, which is a collection of chairs and tables made out of thin layers of tessellated wooden triangles, backed by a textile laminate. When these pieces are unfolded, they're flat like rugs. But when you snap together the embedded system of magnets and clips, each piece transforms into a 3D side table or stool. The surfaces are covered in patterns inspired by Japanese origami and Nordic textiles.

Apple claims it has not been involved in the NSA's PRISM program. The tech giant has released a statement called "Apple's Commitment to Customer Privacy" saying that it does not provide "any government agency" with direct access to its servers, and that "any government agency requesting customer content must get a court order."
